Two fatalities in Richard City area under investigation; no threat to the public according to local law enforcement

South Pittsburg, Tenn. – Whereas the investigation into the events leading to the death of two individuals in South Pittsburg is ongoing and fluid, local law enforcement has confirmed there were two people killed by gunshot. South Pittsburg Chief of Police Wayne Jordan was tight-lipped about the events and the investigation but confirmed that there is no threat to the public.

“The investigation is ongoing, but we do not have any reason to suspect there is any danger to the public. The current evidence we’re seeing is pointing to an isolated event,” Jordan said. The victims’ names of the adult victims are being withheld ostensibly in pursuit of the investigation. Other anecdotal information regarding the incident in the 400 block of Dixie Avenue places the victims recently moving to the area. There are two victims, one adult male and one adult female found at the scene.

Subsequent information would reveal the victims as Austin Seabolt, 26, and Jennah Curtis, 20. Whereas there were others in the house, no other injuries were reported. The initial dispatch took place shortly after 5:00 am on Tuesday morning.
