STEPHANIE SUE HENDERSON

With the angels guiding light, the Lord called Stephanie Sue Henderson, 74, to her heavenly home on Monday, February 15, 2021. Stephanie was a resident of Kimball. She was born on September 21, 1946, to the late Glen Arden Decker and Alice Arlene Reap Decker.  She had been employed as a bookkeeper at Talley Construction Co. before retiring.
Stephanie was of the Baptist faith and a loyal and dedicated member to the Mtn. View Missionary Baptist Church in Jasper.   She loved her family, grandchildren and friends. In her spare time, Stephanie enjoyed working in her yard, flower beds, listening to Christian music and ensuring her life revolved around her Lord and church.  Stephanie spent many hours volunteering at the Bridge Nursing Home and Sequatchie Valley Community Kitchen.
She is preceded in death by the love of her life, Gordon Lee “Potter” Henderson and her parents, Glen Arden Decker and Alice Arlene Reap Decker.
Stephanie leaves her memories to her son, Wesley Richard “Buddy” (Andrea) Dodson; daughter, Brenda (John) Condra; brother, Michael Arthur (Sharron) Decker; grandchildren, Nickalas Dodson, Ivy Carter and Timothy “Shane” Dodson; great-grandchildren, Noah and Silas Dodson; along with special beloved friends.
The family will have visitation on Thursday, February 18, 2021, from 12 noon to 8 p.m. CT at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper.
Graveside services will be held on Friday, February 19, 2021, at 12 noon CT at New Hope Cemetery in New Hope.   Pastor Chris Kilgore will officiate the service. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.tatefh.com.
