John William Curtis, Jr., age 78, of Whitwell, passed away Monday, December 28, 2020. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Wilford and Candace Alvadean Curtis; first wife, Jan Carr Curtis; daughter, Candace “Candy” Curtis; stepson, Raymond Daniel (Danny) Kilgore; sisters, Lora Avalee Barnes, Marcia Pickett; and brother, Gary Pickett. Junior was a member of Mineral Springs Church.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Velma Ruth “Pam” Curtis; granddaughter, Kayla Patterson; sister, Sheila Rose Almond; brother, Kevin Rodney Pickett; nephew, Luther Barnes; several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Whitwell Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. Adam Ramsey officiating.
