George enjoyed reading and studying his Bible daily. He loved woodwork, was a huge Auburn fan and enjoyed spending his time being on the riverbank fishing. He was considered a great chef on grilling out and barbecues.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Marlene Jones; father, George Jones; mother, Carrie Jones; daughter, Pamela Beottcher; son, Jack Terry; brother, Jerry Jones; sister, Mae Segars and special angel, Sylvia Danner.
George leaves his memories to his sons, Kevin Vance Jones, Jerry Weyand and Calvin Stewart; daughters, Deborah (Sherman) Talley, Kandy Jones, Hope (David) Key, Kim Stewart and Terri Terry; grandchildren, Christina (Jeremy) Gilliam, Anna Simmons, Brandi Carmona, Michael (Tamara) Crites, Shantay Jones, Peyton Jones, Michael (Amber) Johnson, Kenny (Emily) Talley, Tracy Johnson, Krystal Stewart, Jessica (Jon) Slatton, Camryn Olyver, Devin Vance, Shantel Brewster and Shardae Gray; great-grandchildren, Barbie Anderson, Jimmy Jones, Taylor Scharber, Aubriella Jones, Christopher Kilgore, Coby Stewart, Shianna Stewart, Colton Gilliam, Mackenzie and Piper Saunders, Clay and Tommy Simmons, Ikee Slatton, Nikolas Johnson, Serenity and Lilly Talley, Joey, Fillip, Eragon, William and Hunter Johnson along with nieces, nephews and beloved friends.
The family will have visitation on Thursday, February 4, 2021 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. CT at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, February 5, 2021 at 1 p.m. CT at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper.
Pallbearers are Jimmy Jones, Taylor Scharber, Kevin Vance Jones, Jason Tate, Danny Simmons and Robert Simmons.
