BILLY JOE “BJ” HENEGAR

Billy Joe “BJ” Henegar, 79 years old, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 7, 2021. BJ was a lifelong resident of Jasper, where he and his wife, Holly West Henegar lived and raised their family.  He loved his Lord and was of the Baptist faith. BJ had worked for the Marion County Sheriff’s Department as a Marion County Deputy for many years.
He was a “one of a kind” loving man and if you became his friend, you were a friend for life. BJ loved his wife of 43 years, his family, grandchildren and friends. His grandchildren were everything to him.  He favorite pastime included pampering his two favorite chickens, Rosie and Ruby, and fishing.
BJ is preceded in death by his parents, Paul Henegar and Frances Hughes Bush; his special loving parents that raised BJ as if he was their own son, Bill Hughes and Gordon and Mary Lou Muir; brothers, Paul Henegar, Jr., Kenneth Muir, Billy Ray Muir and Mike Muir; and sisters, Sherry Muir and Linda Melton.
He leaves his memories to his loving wife, Holly West Henegar; sons, Jeff (Nora) Henegar and Joey (Annie) Henegar; daughters, Cindy (Mark) Payne, Tara (Darrell Coffman) Ingram and Valerie (Joey) Kiker; brothers, Mickey (Martha) Henegar, Robert (Sandra) Henegar, Ken (Allison) Bush, Terry Meeker, Eddie Muir and Dickey (Lydia) Beavers; sisters, Patricia (Jerre Don) Elliott, Debbie Hill, Mae Stout, and Tina (Chuck) Blaylock; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many close friends that he considered family.
At this time, the family has requested no visitation or funeral for BJ.  He will be laid to rest at a later date in a private ceremony with family and friends.
